Welcome to our New Hobbie :: RC Helicopters

My 1st RC Helicopter is a Blade CP Pro2. For years we've been thinking about getting into this hobby and finally my husband decided on Christmas eve (2009) to drive off to the hobbie shop in Lethbridge to buy me a new toy. After all we do have 12 acres of land to fly on and our nearest neighbour is 1km away so lots of room.

Thought we'd start off small as the parts for this little fellow are not as expensive as the larger ones when one is learning to fly and damages parts when crashing into a wall. It's winter and not condusive to flying outdoors in southern Alberta. I've since bought and attached a training set (see below). We did discover during one of our visits to the hobbie shop that the smaller ones are MORE diffucult to fly! So I'll be an expert once I master this baby.

I'm on my 3rd set of blades already... so have a couple in stock and ready to replace when necesary. I have to say that I am getting better at this flying - the quonset hut is a great place to practice when it's not too cold. The basement just doesn't cut it.

This is my transformer, pretty basic but that's all I need for now.

This page will grow as my husband also has the bug.. he has a helicopter on order. This one should be fun as he will have to build it and I will help of course. I will take photos of its progression.

So... stay tuned.
